The luxury of simplicity
When creating this space in collaboration with la Shed architecture, our goal was to reimagine the traditional seaside home with a more contemporary approach. But simplicity was also key to remain in harmony with the physical landscape.
On the main floor, there's an entrance hall with bathroom, a spacious living room with couch and smart TV, and an open-plan kitchen with a large-enough dining room table to host plenty of friends. In the kitchen, you'll find the usual equipment and tools:
A Vitamix blender for smoothies
Espresso coffee machine
Drip coffee machine
A big pot and other gear for a lobster boil
Four Sonos speakers
The house has three bedrooms on the second floor, each with a queen-sized bed, as well as a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. All of our rooms feature the following:
Superior quality cotton sheets
Natural duvet bedcover
Storage for clothes
A window with a stunning view of the landscape!
The surrounding area
A transcendent view
Located on the western tip of Havre Aubert Island, the panoramic district of Étang-des-Caps is serene and renowned for its breathtaking sunsets.
We have three houses on the property: Les Rochers, Blanche de l'Ouest and our private home (not for rent).
An award-winning design
la Shed architecture's vision for and commitment to Les Rochers did not go unnoticed. Their talents were recognized by the architecture and design communities, both here in Canada and abroad. In addition to winning the prestigious awards listed below, the project also garnered mentions in notable publications, including Dwell and Ligne Magazine.
